Carrying the Message

I am wondering about how others feel about honesty. It is a very touchy subject to some of our members and they feel that it means just that they be honest about their drinking. I believe, that to receive the full benefit of the whole AA program and to have even a beginning of peace of mind and serenity, one must be honest in all our affairs, however large or small. To be dishonest with our fellow beings, whether they are alcoholic or not, tends to make it just a little easier to let our thinking get to stinking and may eventually lead one to taking that first drink.
