An Adequate Definition
The other night at the dinner table, my ten-year-old daughter asked us what booze was. That word had come into the conversation some way. My wife tried to explain it, I did too and then my twenty-year-old son tried. He said that it was whiskey, beer, and all the rest. Daughter was not satisfied. Finally, out of a clear blue sky, in between the oversize bites of steak, our nine-year-old son, blurted out, "Aw, Sissy, booze is anything that comes out of a bottle, that is drunkable!"
