WE'VE just run across an old UPI clipping which states that the Belgians are the beer-drinking champions of the world with an average ingestion of 25 1/2 gallons annually per man (or woman). West Germany was a close second with 25 gallons and Australia placed third with 23.1. Americans staggered into tenth place with a per capita consumption of 13.4, so if you think you were a champion sudser . . .
