My Aching Tooth

Do you think there is anything in the idea that booze causes a lot of tooth trouble? I've been puzzling over it since someone called my attention to the number of AAs who report in cheerily that they've just come from, or are on the way to, or must absolutely soon arrange to get to the dentist. Let one Sober Citizen declare his sufferings or intentions with respect to the molars, and all around will start at once to cluck sympathy and struggle for the floor to tell how they, too, have just come from, or on the way to, or must soon arrange to get to. . . .
