Dear Dad

DAD, I would like to express my feelings about your first year of sobriety. About two years ago, I began hating liquor and I didn't understand why you got drunk when you drank and most other people didn't. I knew deep down inside that your drinking was destroying a good, intelligent and wonderful husband and father. I knew you were sick and when you drank, I thought inside that you were crazy. You were ruining my mother and frightening me very much.
