WITH a tip of our hat to Ginny we now move to Spain, where the drought has apparently been as severe as it has been in New York and elsewhere roundabout. A roadside inn proprietor in Ciudad Real hasn't been able to offer motorists a drink of water but gives them, on the house, as much wine as they can guzzle. Things were even worse a few years ago, the Associated Press reports, when one pint of water fetched two pints of wine. Nothing was said in the story about the effect of filling car radiators with vino.
