BACK home, Bayard P. of Manhattan reports that Air Canada toyed for some time with the idea of serving alcoholic beverages aboard the New York-Toronto run. The day they decided to give it a try, stewardesses went up and down the aisle asking for orders and were bewildered when none were forthcoming. Turned out it was the day before AA's 30th Anniversary celebration in Toronto, and all the passengers were--you guessed it.
