Vin De Pays--Phooey!

IT was a little over a year ago that I gratefully read an article in the Grapevine (August 1964) entitled "What Do We Do about the Wine?" In it, my AA sister helpfully recommended some of her favorite nonalcoholic beverages in various European countries. I tucked a list of these in my wallet as my husband and I took off for a ten-week camping safari abroad. I also took along an AA World Directory and wrote a ridiculous letter to the Grapevine office about a plan to visit all the groups along the way and report back to them. I believe I rather envisioned myself as some sort of Florence Nightingale of AA, lighting a candle in the dark corners of the Old Country!
