Carrying the Message

The Third Step gives many people trouble. It suggests decisive action but too many interpret this to mean a direct, outgoing action tantamount to a physical handing over to God their wills and their lives. They know this is not possible but they seem to have a hazy idea that the "handing over" is something akin to handing over something to a friend, which still connotes a direct physical action.
