Six Months Sober

A young fellow who hadn't talked at a meeting yet, takes a look at his old "social-misfit" days

I AM one of those people who fall into the category unglamorously labeled "social misfits." This is all right with me, because I don't like socializing much anyway. Not that I don't like people, it's just that I get very nervous around them, especially large groups. I realize I'll never be able to stand up before an AA group and tell my story, so I'd like to put it in print. At least, the wonderful people in my group will know something about that quiet guy who always sits in the back.
