Carrying the Message

Growing

The AA group started here four years ago. I came over to live here six years ago and, as there was no likelihood of being able to get one started in the near future, I registered as a Loner and, thanks to all your help and putting me in touch with the World Hello Correspondence Group, I managed to keep my AA. Then things happened the way they do. I had a letter from Padge at our GSO in London, enclosing an appeal for help from someone who had met up with AA in England, and was having trouble, and also a letter from her parish priest asking about AA, as he felt we needed it here! I met Raye, and another AA, Jack, who had come to live here, and as there were three of us we decided to start meetings then and there. Father fixed us up with a meeting place in a school, where we met until we moved to larger quarters later.
