Lesson From a Grouchy Old-timer

I SIT next to an old-timer and he is the most miserable person I have met in Alcoholics Anonymous but I just love him because he makes me feel so good! I have been sitting next to him at a meeting once a week for almost a year and a half and all he has done is criticize, belittle, tap the table with his matches and/or be downright unkind or rude, and I wouldn't change places for anything in the world as I enjoy measuring my growth by my attitude toward him.
