Once Over Lightly

L. E. of East Detroit, Mich., sent in this question that really appeared in a newspaper, "My crazy dog loves beer. Will it hurt him to drink it?" The answer quotes a Prof. at the School of Veterinary Medicine of Michigan State University as saying that a little brew wouldn't hurt the pooch, but not to let him overdo it. It seems that dogs can become lushes just like humans. A wolfhound named Patsy got hooked on stout, and soon was padding down to the Pub on her own to lap up a saucer or two of grog. She exhibited every symptom of the typical alky, including lying in her bed mornings, paws over her eyes, moaning.
