Carrying the Message

I am blessed with a sympathetic and understanding wife who, after that Power greater than myself, becomes my number one support. Long before I came into AA my wife was keeping in close touch with two of its members who visited me week after week until I was finally convinced that I was suffering from a disease called alcoholism which could be arrested if I became a member of AA. I attended my first meeting in Belfast in 1959 and here I am, thank God.
