Carrying the Message

My name is Alvin. I train and drive harness horses for a living. I drank socially for about ten years, and then the dynamite got ignited and I really began to drink. Got to the place where I was drinking two fifths or better a day. Went to the hospital for ten days. It didn't help--still continued to drink. Took the pledge--it didn't help. Made many people suffer in my last two years of drinking, especially my wife and mother. Finally went to AA February 3rd, 1966 and so far, thank God and AA, I have not had a drink.
