Once Over Lightly

Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery

WHICH brings to mind some of the other aversion techniques that doctors cook up now and again. One of the latest is an electro-shock treatment reported by UPI. The idea is that you sit in a room with plenty of booze. You can drink any time you want but every time you lift a glass, you get jolted with electricity. We can just imagine the scene, after the doctor has talked a half-bagged specimen into trying his machine and downing a triple shot thereupon getting knocked silly with the volts. We can hear the doctor asking now, "Well, what do you think of my machine?"
