Yarn on My Toothbrush

She forgot. . .and soon got drunk. She decided to remember at all costs.

IT was only a few weeks after my first AA meeting that you told me if I would breathe a little prayer first thing in the morning asking God to give me just this day without alcohol that that's the way it would be. I had heard many of you say that you attributed your sobriety to this simple practice; but, you see, I had also heard stories about DTs, convulsions and jails, and since none of these horrors related to me, I didn't identify with the prayer angle either. I had to be told.
