Meetings Without Guilt

Should a mother feel guilty about leaving her children to go to AA meetings?

WOMEN who still have their children with them seem to have the strongest conflict over regular meeting attendance. I had my four children and a marriage intact when I found AA. The marriage was badly shaken, and the children emotionally upset, but we were still together. AA has kept us together and saved our family. My husband loves the program, and the children appreciate the difference in our home atmosphere. In fact, they take my sobriety quite for granted now. I don't.
