A way to be responsible

The alcoholic coming out of prison has been fed a strong dose of ugliness from sordid surroundings and negative associations. He is ready for some beauty, but not the kind he has usually sought--women. His mind will be very receptive to anything which can inspire or motivate him, providing he is making some kind of an attempt at the AA program. This is when he needs to be surrounded by dedicated, selfless people genuinely concerned for his welfare but experienced enough to understand his failures and wise enough to exercise restraint in matters which he considers of a personal nature.
