Carrying the Message

I am appalled at the lack of interest in alcoholism on the part of the majority of AA people I encounter and their unwillingness to take a citizen's interest in legislation or any other area of interest concerning alcoholism except in AA. I think it is a rotten shame that, with an estimated 6,500,000 alcoholics in this country alone, by far the great majority of the AAers in these parts are just not interested as citizens in the problems of alcoholism.
