You Don't Look like an Alcoholic

HAVE you ever been told by a person you are trying to help that you don't look like an alcoholic? I have, more than once. It used to put me on the defensive and make me think I had to try twice as hard to prove to the guy that, yes, I really and truly am an alcoholic. And that's not only unnecessary, but waters down the true purpose of the call--to carry the AA message.
