About Alcoholism - Alcoholism Information, Research and Treatment

Nelson Rockefeller, Governor of New York State, has asked the New York State Legislature to establish in the Buffalo area a New York State Research Institute on Alcoholism. The Research Institute will be operated by the Department of Mental Hygiene in affiliation with the State University of New York. The institute will be the first of its kind in the United States.
