As Federal, state and local programs on alcoholism take their first tentative steps into mass education, research, and treatment of alcoholism, the voluntary health organizations responsible for wide public recognition and acceptance of alcoholism as a health problem ask among themselves if there is any place for them in this ferment of seemingly new activity.
