IN A recent issue of the Grapevine, several articles mentioned new, exciting changes in AA meetings which were designed to foster a greater in-depth communication for the participants. I was greatly impressed by the apparent similarity between these marathon meetings and a statement I heard repeatedly when I was a newcomer to the Fellowship: "When you get right down to it, Alcoholics Anonymous is one drunk talking to another."
