The Canadian Navy's Floating Group 22/24
In March, 1964, the Canadian Navy's Bonaventure, aircraft carrier, completed a major refit. As her new crew assembled, it was discovered that we had four active AA members among us. From this nucleus AA Group 22/24 was born. (22 signified the ship's number, and 24 was for twenty-four hours a day.) The group varied in number from the original four to as many as eleven or twelve, as men came and went, ranging in rank from officer to ordinary seaman.
