Modern Man in Search of a Soul, by Carl G. Jung, turned me inward to seek a conscious relationship to God, ending my search for an objective understanding of alcoholism. After three years in AA, I was ready to begin consciously to formulate my own values. As is so often the case, motivation came from a new understanding of myself.
