On the Grapevine

THIS is being written for the March Grapevine on December 26. On December 15 the Morgan Post Office in New York City, a huge building on Manhattan's West Side, was gutted in one of the worst post-office fires on record anywhere. Millions of pieces of mail were lost, most of them, according to postal authorities, parcel post headed for overseas addresses.
