Kelley introduced me to AA and to my very first sober trip. We had many talks and discussions. He mentioned a friend and fellow Internationalist, Roland L., but with no particular significance, and consequently I did not have any reason to remember him. After I paid off that ship in 1953, Kelley and I went our different paths, as seamen do, and it is now fourteen years-plus since we've seen or heard from one another.
