Carrying the Message

The Jamaica Tourist Board is not paying me, but I am sure that they will appreciate my request for a chance to add a postscript to the article "Challenge in Jamaica" in the February issue of the Grapevine, which (thank God for the many loyal AA friends who communicate with me through letters and tapes) came to me today. AA in Jamaica is underdeveloped; communications are poor; and the usual mecca of the tourists is pretty far from Kingston, where the one meeting a week is held. AAs who have recovered enough to be able to stand the tourist prices here should not scratch Jamaica off their itinerary. I depend upon an occasional AA tourist to supplement the letters and tapes, etc., with a live AA gabfest.
