I'm No Hero!
You find out alcohol has unpleasant effects on you. So you top taking it. What's so great about that?
WITHIN a week or so after I joined Alcoholics Anonymous, I was at a dinner party with a group of close friends. I had unobtrusively turned down cocktails and wine, and along about the second course the man sitting next to me asked why I wasn't drinking. I told him briefly what my drinking habits had become, and that I had joined AA.
