Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery
THE PLANE RIDE: Two of our boys (pre-AA) were up for their first air trip, in a four-engined plane. After a bit, the captain announced that engine number one was out and they'd be a half-hour late. Not much later, he came on to say that number two was also broken and they'd now be one hour late. Soon after that, the captain reported the failure of engine number three; the plane would now be two hours overdue.
