About This Issue. . .

AAs have always been downright curious to know what doctors have to say about alcoholism and AA. They have repeatedly asked us for reprints (which we are not able to supply) of Grapevine articles by doctors in AA, and by doctors who are students of alcoholism. In this issue we reprint some of these pieces, together with new material--for example, the articles by Drs. Gitlow and Dancey. We pretend to no finality or completeness in presenting these medical and psychiatric overviews of our common problem. We do hope you will like having this material assembled in one Grapevine.
