Simplicity
Simplicity is not so simple a quality as the word may seem to imply. It is not attained by the elimination of desire. It means not bigness but singleness, not the content of life but the direction of life. But perhaps it is better known as singlemindedness. . .the uncomplicated direction of a life which moves towards a thoroughly determined end. What really complicates life is divided aim, uncertainty of direction.
