Dear Editors:

Was thinking today about how often we feel sorry for this AA because he's a Loner, or that one because she has a rough way to go. But I got a letter from an AA friend (my sponsor) who has a relative who is alcoholic and seems not to respond to AA philosophy. And I have a number of relatives and friends who are almost surely alcoholic. Knowing the percentage, it's also almost sure that only a few of these suffering people will find the blessed release of sobriety that we in AA have found.
