Carrying the Message

Thank you so much for the April issue of the Grapevine, which just caught up with me. I have traveled many, many miles since I wrote requesting help on our profanity problem, but I am still happily sober in AA. Our group used the subject of profanity as a theme shortly after I wrote the letter. Bringing profanity out in the open and discussing it, we found about ninety-five percent of the membership is dead set against its use at AA meetings. They added, however, that they acted as if they were amused at some of the terminology because they didn't want to appear stuffed shirts. Anyway, the situation righted itself after that meeting and is still greatly improved.
