Explaining the Unexplainable

Speaking to interested civilian groups about AA is fraught with peril, frustration and reward

BECAUSE I am in the field of communications, because I am a professional public speaker (of sorts), and because, after more than four years in the AA Fellowship, I have yet to learn to say "no" to almost any request from another AA, I was tapped by our local Intergroup office to serve on their Public Information Committee, over a year ago. I was asked to head up a speakers' bureau to provide AA talks for interested civilian (nonalcoholic) groups.
