Carrying the Message

In respect to the article in the September issue of the Grapevine on agnostics, I was elated to have conclusive proof of an unbiased and open-minded policy as is befitting to a publication connected with AA. I had almost despaired of even hearing of someone who felt as I do in regards to a "Higher Power" and was beginning to have a sneaking suspicion that such an opinion would never find its way into print. I am happy to say such feelings have been allayed. I am a comparative newcomer (one year) in the program, but have been tempted to drop out several times because of the narrow-minded attitudes of some of the "elder brethren."
