Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery

RECENT headline: "Air Pollution Causes Alcoholism." That startling piece of news appeared no place else but the National Enquirer, and if you think the headline is farfetched, you should have read the article. It seems that one Professor Pearson of the Center for Resources Development at the University of Guelph, in Ontario, came up with the specious (to us) argument that, rather than fight with polluted air outdoors, people prefer to sit indoors and get crocked.
