Carrying the Message

We're not all Christians

To keep it simple, I'll just point out that, in line with the AA Preamble and the fact that many of us AAs found "God" through the Fellowship--not a church nor some religious sect--it is inappropriate to have invocations at AA conventions end with ". . .through our Lord Jesus Christ . . ." AA is not a Christian organization; many members are Jewish, Buddhist, pantheist, or yes, even atheist. It's about time we stopped talking to atheists the way I talked to nondrinkers when I was a drunk.
