ADVERTISEMENT of the Month Dept.: We stumbled upon a copy of Modern Medicine and, having nothing else to do, leafed through it until we found an ad for the Wine Advisory Board, extolling the virtues of wine as a medicine. It said, in part: "Wine was man's--and the gods'--first medicine, the supreme mild tranquilizer for the past 5,000 years or more. . .can help relieve anxiety. . .helps home morale. . .helps make mealtimes pleasant and relaxing." So what else is new?
