Carrying the Message

One of the richest blessings given to me is an alcoholic parent. Because of this parent, I have had the AA philosophy in my family for eleven years now. Because of my other wonderful parent, we have had Al-Anon's philosophy for four years (the group was just forming then). I am not ashamed of the alcoholic; in fact, I feel only pride. I wish everyone on the program, all those at the meetings I have attended, and all those brave Loners could know how proud I am of them--how much admiration I have for them.
