Carrying the Message

In 1968, within my realm of acquaintances, one man of twenty years' sobriety has gone back to drinking; another, with twenty-two years' sobriety, drank and is trying AA again, but is still having trouble; a third, with over twenty-three years' sobriety, got onto tranquilizers and then booze. He went nuts and has, after many weeks, just got out of the loony bin, but no AA yet.
