Goldfish Drink Like--

On an NBC-TV newscast, Dr. Donald Good win of Washington University was shown pouring alcohol into a goldfish tank, "to analyze their tolerance." As a result of "too much fin-bending," the experimenter found, the fish began to "swim erratically, bump into the glass, or swim upside down." When still more alcohol was poured into the tank, the commentator noted, the reactions of individual fish seemed to be determined by their size; some were observed to undergo a "personality change."
