Some AA groups, however, reverse the process in order to achieve a similar common understanding: They ask "outsiders" to speak at their meetings. The Shalom Group of Baltimore, Md., which began the enterprise by inviting a physician (June 1969 GV), continues its story with another news item sent in to "Around AA."
