AA makes no promises, but an investment of time and faith in the Fellowship does pay material dividends, too

SOME WEEKS ago, at a meeting of our closed discussion group, a member remarked that we seemed to spend a great deal of our time discussing problems which individual members had encountered in working the program. He suggested that, while discussion of problems was beneficial to all members, it might give a bigger boost to the morale of new members if we spent more time on discussion of the actual material benefits many of us had received from AA membership. He also remarked that he himself would like to hear something from members who felt they had benefited materially from their association with AA.
