HIS opposite number--a very, very shy and modest man--took a sleeper to Chicago one night. He was shy enough fully dressed, but in his pajamas he was too self-conscious to get out of his upper berth at all. "Psst," he said to a passing conductor. "Would you mind getting me another glass of water?"
