Carrying the Message

After coming into the AA program, I had several small-pay jobs on which the interviewer did not ask whether or not I drank. Then I began to get better jobs. I lost one job after that because I told the personnel manager that I was an alcoholic and was in the AA program. I found out later that that job was not what it was cracked up to be, anyway.
