No St. Christopher?

Here is an answer for H. J. E., whose letter about the nonexistence of St. Christopher appeared in the October Grapevine. Many years ago, an order of Anglican monks who had chosen as their patron St. Catherine of Alexandria discovered that the best scholars were of the opinion that the lady had never existed. One of the younger monks was quite disturbed. He said to the wise old founder of the order, "What about all our prayers to St. Catherine?"
