Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery

VIVE LA FRANCE: According to a recent communication from a Gallic friend, the AAF (Automobile Association of France) has worked out a sure cure for hangovers. In a recent pamphlet, the AAF advised its members to cure that icky-poo morning-after feeling by drinking lots of water before retiring and taking a cold shower after awakening, followed by breakfast and a brisk walk. "This should do wonders," the pamphlet went on, "but if you are still unable to face the day after you've done all this, you can drink a little wine."
