Marty Mann Honored by NCA

During the 1970 annual meeting of the National Council on Alcoholism, in New York City, NCA saluted Marty Mann at a dinner in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. "With enormous love, deep respect, and infinite gratitude," the Council gave Mrs. Mann its Gold Key Award, "for unparalleled service in the field of alcoholism. As founder of the National Committee for Education on Alcoholism, the predecessor organization of the National Council on Alcoholism, her vision and determination led to recognition of alcoholism as a major disease."
